Did you know that the PSE Group plans to spend $774 million in the next 5 years to install solar panels on New Jersey power poles and government buildings to meet its requirement for more renewable energy?
It will add 120 megawatts of generating capacity, which apparently is enough to power 100,000 homes. To help pay for this, rates will be raised between 10 cents to 35 cents a month.
Good to see solar power's potential being addressed in the news for once.

There was a lot of chatter a few years ago about solar power. But it seems no one really talks about it. It's almost like it's not credible enough as an alternate source of power. Or it's too unrealistic.

I guess the main issue is one of cost (i.e. is this a resource that's worth investing in right now?)
